If you have a favorite scene, animal, or family photograph you would like to have interpreted in a Kathy Rees Johnson original, I would be happy to oblige. Here are some parameters:
Landscape scenes, from $500
Animals (e.g. pets or race horses), from $750
Paintings from old family photographs, from $750
These are three areas in which I have a special affinity. If you appreciate my style of painting, I am confident we will end up with a happy and satisfying result. Regarding landscapes and animals, it is my preference to take photos and see subjects for myself in preparation for the commission. For old family photographs, I will want to gather pertinent information, especially family stories! While working on your commissioned piece, I will keep you updated via e-mail and my digital camera to make sure the painting is heading in the right direction.
I request $250 paid at the beginning of the project with the remainder due upon receipt of the finished painting. The work will be unframed unless you request that I have the work framed, in which case I will add 15% to that cost. If the work must be shipped, that cost will also be added to the cost of the commission.
